CLASS L BASEBALL: Stratford tops Platt for first-round win

MERIDEN—A three-run sixth-inning carried the Stratford Red Devils to a 4-2 win over Platt High School on Tuesday in a Class L state tournament first round game at Ceppa Field.

Zach Fedak went six-plus innings to get the win while Mike D’Aloia pitched the seventh to earn the save.

Braydon Seaburg’s two-run double was big blow in the sixth inning, an uprising which gave the Red Devils a 3-2 lead.

Preston Williams also had a sac fly to plate a run.

Stratford will play the winner of the suspended Weston-Berlin game in the second round.
