Team Records: Stratford 0-5, East Haven 4-1

Outlook: After opening the season with a four-game winning streak, East Haven fell to Stratford’s SWC rival New Fairfield last week by a 26-0 count. Stratford, meanwhile, is still looking to put together 48 minutes of football. The Hornets lost their starting quarterback early in the season, but Garea has filled in admirably with both his feet and his arm. Stratford is looking to bounce back from a devasting loss to winless Hillhouse a week ago and get moving forward again.

Coach’s Comment: “East Haven is a good football team. They are coming in with a 4-1 record. They run their offense and defense well and force you to play assignment football. It’s Senior Night and Homecoming for us so there will be an emotional factor that we have to overcome to stay focused. I want to see an improvement from us in all three phases of the game. The team that can overcome adversity and make less mistakes will walk out with the victory.”
