A busy night of high school sports was on the docket on Tuesday night with the Bunnell boys basketball team posting an overtime win over Notre Dame-Fairfield as the highlight.
Here’s a look at what happened around town and around the SWC:
Bunnell 74, Notre Dame-Fairfield 71 (OT)
Kevin Lanham had a 3-point shot and two foul shots as the Bulldogs pulled out a 74-71 overtime win over the host Lancers.
Lanham finished with 21 points for Bunnell. Tiyorne Coleman and Jaden McDowell added 16 points each.
The Bulldogs—who have played eight single-digit games this season—improved to 3-7. Five of those losses, though, have come by four points or less.
Weston 50, Stratford 36
In a game that was closer than the final score indicated, Weston used a 16-7 fourth-quarter surge to notch the 50-36 win over Stratford.
Amanda Ogrodowicz had 11 points for Stratford while Abby Anka and Sami Perley had nine points each.
Angelyna Upchurch grabbed 11 rebounds.
Stratford dropped to 2-8.
Notre Dame-Fairfield 69, Bunnell 37
The state’s No. 1 team came to town and posted a 69-37 win over the Bulldogs, who got off to a good start and went toe-to-toe with the Lancers early on.
In the end, though, Notre Dame-Fairfield’s depth and talent won out over the final three quarters.

Brookfield 84, Bunnell-Stratford Co-op 58
The Bunnell-Stratford co-op swim team saw two relay teams and two individual awarded victories during Tuesday’s meet against Brookfield.
James Bragg-Phillips won the 100 breaststroke (1:20.29) and Danyere Francis won the 100 back (1:24.46).
Also, the 200 free relay team (Nikhil Shankar, Dylan Feliciano, Aditya Gowd and Brett Faerdy) won in 2:05.01 with the 400 free relay team (Faerdy, Sean McGettigan, Feliciano, Bragg-Phillips) took first with a time of 4:35.09.
