The Bunnell boys soccer team won its second game of the season and a Bulldogs swimmer won a trio of events to highlight the high school sports day on Thursday.

Here’s what went down:

BOYS SOCCER

Bunnell 1, New Fairfield 0

The Bulldogs got the only goal they needed when Nick Petrino scored off an assist from Michael Perry. 

After that, the defense and goalie Owen Jaekle did the rest with Jaekle making a few crucial saves to keep the clean sheet.

Bunnell also hit the crossbar twice while trying to put the game away.

New Milford 1, Stratford 0

No further information from this game was made available to the Stratford Sports Scene.

GIRLS SOCCER

New Fairfield 5, Bunnell 1

Fabiola Millien Faustin scored the Bulldogs only goal while falling to New Milford at home.

Sarah Vilarinho made two saves.

New Fairfield outshot Bunnell by an 11-3 margin.

GIRLS SWIMMING

Jonathan Law 86.5, Bunnell 63.5

Rose Nieto won a pair of events to highlight the meet for the Bunnell Bulldogs.

Nieto won the 100 fly (1:04.18) and 100 breast (1:11.35) for the Bulldogs while Grace Browne picked up a first place in the 100 back (1:17.31).

The Bunnell 400 free relay team of A Davis, T Niemiec, Nieto and V Zottoli also took first in 4:24.10.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
