The tough seasons for the town of Stratford’s high school football teams continued on Friday night as Bunnell and Stratford both fell to 0-5 on the season.
Bunnell made the road trip to West Haven and fell to Notre Dame-West Haven by a 49-20 score while Stratford hosted winless Hillhouse and lost by a 41-0 count.

Notre Dame-West Haven 49, Bunnell 20
ND-WH jumped out to a 21-0 lead before Javon Eggleston’s rushing touchdown got the Bulldogs on the board.
Other touchdowns came on a 64-yard pass from Dylan Vancho to James Savko, and Tyreek Smith also scored on a run. Tyler Staggs-Burgess caught a two-point conversion, as well.
Hillhouse 41, Stratford 0
In a battle of winless teams, the visiting Academics jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in getting their first win of the season.
The Red Devils—who were shutout for the first time this season—slipped to 0-5.
Immaculate 3, Stratford 0
In a match that was closer than the final score indicated, Immaculate topped Stratford 25-17, 25-22, 25-21 on Friday.
Anna Mayglothling had 19 digs in the game while Sami Perley had 15 digs, 8 kills, 8 assists and 4 service points. Rachel Newall had 20 digs and five service points.
