Seniors Christ N’Dabian and Eli Alexandre were honored as All-State football players over the weekend at the annual Connecticut High School Coaches Association banquet at the Aqua Turf in Southington.
The two Bulldogs were honored for the 2018 season where the two helped Bunnell go 9-2 on the season and advance to the Class L quarterfinals for the second time in three years.
N’Dabian was named as a running back while Alexandre was honored as a cornerback.
Alexandre, who also played wide receiver, had 32 tackles and four interceptions and two fumble recoveries this season.
In 10 games this fall, N’Dabian—who was selected as a First Team Athlete–rushed for 1,112 yards on 128 carries for an 8.7 yards per carry average. He scored 13 touchdowns on the season.
“Both Eli and Christ were major reasons for our success this year,” former Bunnell Coach Sean Mignone said. “They are both dynamic players with rare speed who changed games on both sides of the ball. Their speed on offense and defense is impossible to replace. They are both great players and great kids who left their mark on the Bunnell football program.”
