STRATFORD—Three Stratford High alums are slated to be inducted into the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame during the school’s annual Senior Recognition/Athletic Hall of Fame dinner next month.
Reggie Willis (Class of 1978), James Lofton (Class of 1987) and Carrie Pfister (Class of 2002) will be inducted, bringing the school’s number of Hall of Famers to 80.
The dinner will take place on Friday, May 17, at 6:30 p.m., at Vazzano’s Four Seasons Catering and Banquet, 337 Kenyon Street, Stratford.
All senior athletes who earned a varsity letter during the school year will be honored. In addition, senior athletes who achieved a 3.2-or-higher grade point average during their career will receive a Scholar-Athlete plaque celebrating that accomplishment.
In addition, the SHS Athletic Department will recognize two other individuals.
Stratford’s long-time Assistant Principal, Joseph Crapanzano will receive the “Distinguished Service Award” and Andrea Fedak, volunteer member of the Red Devils Booster Club, will be presented the “Community Spirit and Service Award.”
The three Hall of Famers were all multi-sport athletes who left their mark on Stratford High.
Lofton was a football and basketball all-conference standout, James Lofton (Class of 1987), Pfister was a three-sport captain and all-conference basketball star, and Willis was a football and baseball all-conference and 1st team All-New York Daily News
